MENDOZA GETAWAY ITINERARY

Day 1: The first day upon your arrival you will be taken in the afternoon to Hotel Potrerillos, a magical place up in mountains in which we will give you a master class by Claudio Laciar our Sommelier. This class will serve as your backbone guide for the next few days for you to identify the intricacies of the wines in Mendoza and how the different regions, terroir and altitude become characteristics of the different styles of wine of the region.

After the wine tasting and class we’ll head back to Mendoza city for dinner at Montecatini a 56 year old traditional Argentine restaurant with Italian influence serving minutas and the old traditional wines that used to be drunk in the past. A very interesting contrast to the next days in which you will taste the best of current style of wines in Mendoza.

Day 2:

After breakfast we’ll head to Lujan de Cuyo and visit Achaval Ferrer Winery. This very small property produces very highly concentrated single-vineyards, a true gem of the region. We’ll visit the winery and taste their outstanding wines.

Next we’ll head to Bodega Melipal where after a small tour of the winery, we’ll taste their wines and sit down for a six-course lunch by renown local chef Sebastian Weingaldt enjoying the view of the majestic Andes mountains. 

After lunch we’ll head back to the hotel for a siesta and free afternoon.

Early evening we’ll do a Craft Beer pub crawl visiting some of Mendoza’s new brewpubs that have flourished in the past few years and a surprise street food dinner.

Day 3

After breakfast we’ll take you on a 2 hour drive to the Valle de Uco to visit one of Mendoza’s most outstanding properties: Clos de Los Siete. This project headed by outstanding winemaker Michel Rolland is a 800 hectare project composed by seven wineries within it’s property. We will spend the whole day visiting most of the wineries, tasting outstanding premium wines and we’ll have a six course lunch at Diamandes with chef Santiago Orozco Russo.

After a long day tasting and experiencing the beautiful surroundings we’ll head back to the hotel and the night is free - but we will have a plan for dinner for whoever wants to join. Keep the night short and pack your belongings because the next morning you are checking out of the hotel and we’ll cap off our experience with another outstanding long day.

Day 4:

After you check out from the hotel we will pick you up and have breakfast on the way to Rancho ‘e cuero. A 2 hour drive up the mountain with the last section done in a 4x4 truck. At Rancho ‘e cuero you will be mesmerized by the beauty of the mountains, in complete solitude.

After you settle in to the bedrooms we’ll have a second breakfast and then we head out for a 2 hour horseback ride through mesmerizing mountains.

Upon return to our headquarters we’ll have an outstanding asado for lunch followed by a siesta and another horseback ride for whoever wants to join.

Lastly we’ll cap off the experience with our wrap-up dinner party under the starry skies, majestic mountains and beauty of the nature. Next morning we’ll drive you from Rancho e’cuero straight to the airport.
