Alan is also a frequent guest speaker at the Miami-Dade Juvenile Detention Center, where he covers topics such as the possibilities in the food industry as well as empowering the inmates to pursue a career in the culinary field.  As a result of this experience, Alan is putting together a catering concept that would only use inmates or people with criminal backgrounds as employees .
